How to remember which months last for 31 days and which ones do not

I am not good with months. I also had to sing a folksong called Lubi-Lubi everytime just so I could recall the order of the months in the calendar! I learned this trick when I was younger though. It's about how to remember which months have 31 days and which ones don't. I ran a Google search to find a picture of hands, and surprisingly I stumbled upon this blog which talks about the same thing I am intending to write about. I'm borrowing the photo. It's really a helpful visual aid:

Your knuckles can be used to count months, didn't you know? Hold your hands together like that in the photo. Then start the count from your left hand. The joints are the months with 31 days, and the space in between the joints represents the months with less than 31 days. You may notice that July is on the last knuckle of the left hand and August is on the first knuckle of the right hand. Yes, both months have 31 days even if these months are next to each other. It's the same with January and December. I once thought that the 31 days thing skips a month but it actually doesn't. It kinda looks stupid at first, but trust me, it works. :P
